Get in the Game: How to Become a LAX Referee

Are you passionate about sports and looking for a way to get involved in the game? Becoming a referee might be the perfect fit for you! Before joining, know that boys games are hosted on Saturdays starting in May, with girls jamborees hosted on Sundays. Having availability on those days will be key to getting scheduled in.

To become certified official you must attend an officials clinic

The Vermont Lacrosse Officials Association (VOLA) is looking to recruit and train new boys officials for the spring and summer lacrosse programs throughout Vermont. Boys Officials training often happens in April. 

NVTYLL works closely with the girls officials organization and USA Lacrosse to train and certify girls youth officials. This typically involves a combination of online class and on-field training.

Girls 2025 Officials training will have two parts, A mandatory on-line rules meeting and rating session often happens in April.

5/6 and 7/8 games

Single Game:

Two game Jamboree:
